Introduction
Career Club ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at app.gocareer.club and any associated mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
Browsing jobs requires no account. We do NOT collect, store, or process resumes, CVs, identity documents, or any personal documents from job seekers. The only data we receive automatically is standard non-identifying technical data your browser provides (device type, language, anonymised usage analytics) used to operate and improve the Service. If a company contacts us through the "Post a Job" form, we receive only the information they voluntarily submit (company name, contact email, job description).
Resume Builder
Our free Resume Builder (/resume) runs entirely in your browser. The information you type into the resume form is held in your browser's memory only — it is never transmitted to our servers, never stored in any database, and is cleared the moment you refresh or close the page. The downloaded PDF or Word file is generated on your device and saved directly to your downloads folder.
Career Tips & Stories
Our Career Tips blog and the short Stories section above the homepage are read-only for users. We do not track which posts you read, comment on, or share. Stories are deleted from our database 24 hours after the admin publishes them.
How We Use Information
We use the limited data we receive only to operate the Service, respond to messages from companies, prevent abuse, and improve our product. We never sell your data and never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Apply Redirects
When you tap an Apply button on a job, you are redirected externally — to the recruiter's email client, WhatsApp number, or website. Once you leave the Service, the recruiter's own privacy practices apply. We have no control over the data they handle, and we do not see whether or how you applied.
Cookies & Local Storage
The Service uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (e.g. theme, dismissed banners). It does not use tracking cookies for advertising. If a third-party ad network is enabled, that network may use its own cookies — see Third-Party Services below.
Notifications
If you opt in to browser notifications via the "Enable" button on the morning reminder banner, your browser will store a notification permission for app.gocareer.club. We use this only to send you the daily morning job-update notification. You can revoke the permission at any time from your browser settings — we have no way to send you notifications without your active opt-in.
Advertising
The Service may display advertisements supplied by third-party networks such as Google AdSense (web) or Google AdMob (mobile app). These networks may use cookies or device identifiers to show contextual or personalised ads. Their data handling is governed by Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not pass any personal information to advertisers.
Third-Party Services
We rely on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, hosting infrastructure), Google Gemini (server-side AI that helps admins format job posts), and Resend (server-side email delivery for the Post-a-Job form). These vendors process data only on our behalf and per their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us using the email below and we will delete it promptly.
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS encryption, Firebase Security Rules, server-side API key isolation) to protect data we receive. No system can be 100% secure, but we work continuously to safeguard the limited data we hold.
Your Rights
Because we do not store personal data on job seekers, there is generally no profile to update or delete. If you sent us a message via the Post a Job form and want it removed, contact us using the email below and we will delete the message within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date below will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
